The Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) public comment period took place from November 3, 2017 through December 18, 2017. As a part of the public comment period, the U.S. Air Force provided multiple options for submitting comments including: through the mail, on this website, and at public hearings. The U.S. Air Force held four public hearings to provide the public with the opportunity to learn more about the MOB 4 beddown and provide input. The public hearing venues began with an “open house” style format and poster stations, which was followed by a brief presentation by the U.S. Air Force about the proposal. Following the presentation, formal public testimony was then accepted. Written comments were also accepted at all meetings. Comments received during the Draft EIS public comment period will be considered in development of the Final EIS.

The public scoping period took place from December 22, 2016 through February 3, 2017. As a part of the public scoping process, the U.S. Air Force held four public scoping meetings. The public was encouraged to attend the meetings to learn more about the proposal and assist the U.S. Air Force in “scoping” issues to evaluate in the EIS. The meetings were open-house style and arranged in a “come and go” format with no formal U.S. Air Force presentation or opportunity for public testimony. Written comments were also accepted at all meetings.
